The simplest solution for a start up Grow-Out kit to rear your young Discus fish, sufficient to hold a group of 10-15 juvenile discus comfortably. Also suitable to keep a pair of adult discus of any size or to serve as a hospital tank. This set includes:

Can Discus thrive in this set?
Contrary to popular belief, it is not recommended to keep a small number of Discus fish in a large space. Big empty spaces increases the chances of territorial and bullying behavior, as a result the fish do not grow consistently and have higher chances of becoming stressed and stunted.
The Stendker hatchery in Germany recommends to keep your young discus fish in a number of 10 or more in a small minimal tank, a smaller space increases the fish competition during meals and helps regulate the aggression resulting in better growth success.
Is the sponge filter enough?
With maintenance and frequent water changes the sponge filter included in this kit should be sufficient. To perform less water changes, we recommend upgrading the filter to a larger filter unit (sold separately).
Do I need LED light?
If the aquarium is kept in a bright room there will be no requirement for a light fixture and the fish will be happy with regular room or natural window light. We do not recommend keeping your fish in a closed dark room, our Stendker discus are social and do better in the presence of others. Isolation will increase the fish sensitivity and provoke them to jump from fear when attempting to feed them.
Should I add decoration or plants?
We only recommend the addition of sand and a single plant on wood such as our disinfected AquaDeco plants range. Young discus can be messy eaters resulting in difficulty to maintain plants successfully in this type of minimal Grow-Out set up.

Live fish, live plants, and frozen food require 2 to 7 working days or more due to special handling requirements. Delivery to Distant areas (Out of city and over 30 km radius) requires to be inquired by contacting our customer service before the order is placed.

There is strictly no replacement, return, or refund on any live animal and no guarantee or warranty on all livestocks after adding them to your aquarium. DOA (Dead On Arrival) must be notified immediately with proof and will be rewarded with a replacement or credit note.
All our live stocks are thoroughly tested and quarantined before packing and guaranteed to arrive free of tapeworms or diseases.
Tropical fish and inverts must be expected to lose color during transport and will arrive pale or white, a proper environment and diet is needed to regain coloration.
Any death or illnss of live animals after being added to an aquarium cannot be replaced or refunded. If such problems are encountered then it is connected to aquarium conditions or noncompatible tank mates (e.g. mixing with fish or plants from other sources).
Fish acclimation to a new aquarium is the sole responsibility of the buyer and not the Discus.ae delivery team.
