A peaceful and highly recommended algae eater ideally suited for aquascapes and planted aquariums for its gentle coexistence with all types of plants. The Siamese Algae Eater is most effective against algae when young, it eventually converts to a more varied diet preferring standard fish food instead.
It's important to keep in mind that the Siamese Algae Eater grows to nearly 6 inches as an adult, we try to provide them as young as possible for their higher efficiency against algae as juveniles. They are an excellent companion to our Stendker Discus and Åpex Angels, if the aquarium has low algae content it is required to supplement them with algae based wafers or pellets which are available in our dry food section.

Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as "Large" or "Adult".

There is strictly no replacement, return, or refund on any live animal and no guarantee or warranty on all livestocks after adding them to your aquarium. DOA (Dead On Arrival) must be notified immediately with proof and will be rewarded with a replacement or credit note.
All our live stocks are thoroughly tested and quarantined before packing and guaranteed to arrive free of tapeworms or diseases.
Tropical fish and inverts must be expected to lose color during transport and will arrive pale or white, a proper environment and diet is needed to regain coloration.
Any death or illnss of live animals after being added to an aquarium cannot be replaced or refunded. If such problems are encountered then it is connected to aquarium conditions or noncompatible tank mates (e.g. mixing with fish or plants from other sources).
Fish acclimation to a new aquarium is the sole responsibility of the buyer and not the Discus.ae delivery team.
